The Institute of Cute opened in 2007, what a wonderful year! Our Chief Artomologist and founder, Jane Davenport discovered the perfect space to create our exciting and 100% cute Concept Store in Byron Bay, Australia with a small and dedicated team. Our beloved founder is constantly dreaming into reality a swathe of delectable treasures and the Institute of Cute provides a home for all of her artwork, books and design for us all to love and cherish.

Byron Bay is one of Australia’s most desired relaxation destinations as the small town is surrounded by forest, divine beaches and a crystal sea full of dolphins and whales. The whole Byron region is regarded as a creative and health mecca and ‘The Bay’ is its epicentre.
Until September 2009, The Institute of Cute’s online presence could be found nestled within the Jane Davenport website. Now we have grown and have own dedicated space!
From time to time, the Institute of Cute goes travelling and a pop-up store springs up! Look for us at Australia’s most exciting events such as the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, The Sydney Royal Easter Show and The Melbourne Royal Show!
